Syringe Exchange Program (SEP) - Operating only a few hours per week at one or two sites, the SEP respectfully serves its purpose of exchanging dirty needles for clean ones – a one-for-one exchange. Individuals accessing the SEP are also offered other disease prevention services – such as Hepatitis B vaccinations, Hepatitis C screening, HIV testing, and condoms, as well as referral to drug treatment programs and other services. Shasta County Vaccination Clinic -  Protect yourself from Hepatitis B by getting the Hepatitis B vaccine series. If you have no insurance at all, you can get the Hepatitis B vaccine at the Shasta County HHSA Vaccination Clinic for the price listed here. See prices for insured clients here. You can pick up free condoms at Planned Parenthood, and even get STD (sexually transmitted disease) testing done. Women's Health Specialists - Provides low or no cost access to women’s services, including birth control, annual exams, pregnancy testing, sexually transmitted disease testing, urinary tract infection testing, and abortion.
